The Caffeinated OT ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This page explains what we collect, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. We've tried to write it in plain English — if anything is unclear, email us.
What we collect
- Email addresses when you sign up for the free e-book or our newsletter.
- Basic site analytics — pages visited, approximate location, and browser type. This is anonymous and aggregated; we can't identify individual visitors from it.
- Order details if you buy a workbook — your name, email, and any shipping info you provide. Payment information is handled entirely by our payment processor and never reaches our servers.
Why we collect it
- To deliver the e-book, workbook, or other resource you've asked for.
- To send occasional emails about new resources, blog posts, or workbooks — only if you've opted in.
- To understand which content is useful, so we can make more of what helps.
Who we share it with
We only share your data with the services that help us run the site:
- Email delivery: our email marketing platform (e.g. ConvertKit, Mailchimp).
- Hosting: Netlify, which hosts this site.
- Payments: our payment processor (e.g. Stripe, Gumroad), if you buy something.
- Analytics: our analytics provider (e.g. Plausible, Google Analytics).
We never sell your data. Ever.
How long we keep it
- Email subscribers: until you unsubscribe. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- Order records: 7 years, because tax law makes us.
- Analytics: 12 months, then deleted.
Your rights
You can, at any time:
- Ask what data we hold about you
- Ask us to correct or delete that data
- Unsubscribe from emails (link in every email)
- Withdraw consent to marketing emails
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@thecaffeinatedot.com. We'll respond within a reasonable timeframe (usually a few days).
Cookies
This site itself doesn't set any cookies. Our analytics provider may set one anonymous identifier to count unique visits. You can disable cookies in your browser settings without breaking the site.
Children
The Caffeinated OT writes for parents, carers, and adults supporting neurodivergent children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us their information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top. Significant changes will be flagged in our newsletter.
